Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF)

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) in Denver

What Is PEMF Therapy?

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field, also known as low field magnetic stimulation (LFMS), is a soothing and energetic modality that helps the body repair, regenerate and rebuild. It helps people across the wellness spectrum stimulate their bodies to enhance and energize all aspects of their lives.

This drug-free, non-invasive, pain-relief alternative treatment also promotes accelerated healing for ailments and injuries. In addition, it improves sleep, mental focus, and the body’s overall performance by helping the energy output and regeneration of the body’s cells.

How It Helps

Natural electromagnetic energy controls human chemistry—without an electromagnetic exchange between cells, nothing happens in the body. The cells are impaired when this electromagnetic energy is disrupted (for instance, from a bad diet, a small bruise to an injury, or merely from getting older). The body is not healthy if the cells are not healthy.

When a complementary electromagnetic field is introduced into the body, healthy exchanges are reestablished. PEMFs are considered extremely useful, because they stimulate all levels of the body. When applied externally, the therapy completely penetrates the body and affects individual cells, organs, tissues—the entire body.

What to Expect

PEMF is incredibly versatile and relatively gentle compared to other stimulation technologies. A household refrigerator generates more EMF than we use. Before being placed in the machine, the technician will ask about your pain levels to determine where to target. If not targeting a particular area, the pad is placed over the GI area, which also helps the hips and lower back. Results are cumulative.

Energy is pulsed into the cells, so they can do their job and repair the cells. Intervals are 20, 40, or 60 minutes. Patients can set their own intensity for best results.

However, less is more, and we can influence how the brain responds with just a whisper of stimulation. Instead of forcing neurons to fire, we simply nudge them to change the timing of the way they spontaneously fire.
